Good things: mid’summer magic in design & lifestyle

I’m so glad to be back to posting on the blog! I wanted to periodically pop in to share some of my favorite things lately!

Currently Reading: Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson

I’ve been on such a fantasy kick!

I’ve been craving stories that are fantastical, full of mystery and suspense, and that will help me use my imagination and spark creativity. I picked up Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson at the recommendation of Black Booktok / Black Bookstagram / Bookthreads on Threads. It had so many overwhelming positive reviews and I’ve been sucked right into the action so far! I can’t wait to share more once I’ve gotten through more of the story.

Crushing on Decor: 1929 Spanish Dining Room by Lone Fox

I’ve been following Lone Fox (Drew Scott) for quite a few years now, and their effort to create magic is always so inspiring.

I highly recommend checking out their recent projects, including designer Drew Scott’s personal home that he has renovated and furnished so beautifully.

This Dining Room is absolutely stunning. The rich dark wood is exactly what I imagine for my own home, but the design keeps an organic feel that I also would love to draw inspiration from. The home overall has such a vintage and found items feel that makes the spaces so warm, inviting, and cozy. The impeccable design choices literally jump off of the screen. Absolutely stunning and worth the look!

A few other good things:

I’ve been seeing the viral Marry Me Chicken all over the internet. I couldn’t escape it! I finally made it using the recipe found here, and it’s so, so good.

I’ve been loving broccoli salads lately, and this Brocc Mountain Caesar salad is on my list to try.

Final Fantasy XIV has released their latest expansion, Dawntrail. The story was SO good! I’m enjoying getting back into the game and starting high end content this weekend.

Until next time,

Adia
